Friday was interesting. Gary kindly dropped me off at the train station after class so I could go home/ to New York for the weekend. My train was delayed for three and a half hours, but it was fine because it was a nice day and I sat outside while I was waiting. Everyone else was annoyed, verbally so. That’s one thing I don’t understand, getting angry or agitated about things that are out of ones control. When I got my ticket the guy said not to expect my train before 3:05 but not to hold my breath (my train was scheduled for 2:46). I sighed and said “good thing I brought a long book to read”. He chuckled a little bit and I hope I made his day a little better because everyone in line before me were being jerks to the ticket people since all the trains were late. So I sat outside, made small talk, and waited until about 5:30 for my train. Funny story, 5 mintues after I find a seat my Philosophy professor sits down next to me. He had no idea who I was and didn’t believe me when I told him I was one of his students. Anyway we ended up talking for 4 hours about class, philosophy things, stuff. I got to know he a little better and I ended up liking him more as a person. The only bad thing is that I am no longer anonymous in his class so I expect him to call on me and I’m not for that. I would go as far as to say I’m against it.

Drove up to New York on saturday with my family to go to my uncle’s funeral. It was sad and happy. And that’s all I’m gonna say about that.

This is going to be such a good week. My Anthropology class is cancelled because my professor is going to a conference which means I have 4 extra hours this week to work on other stuff. Woo! I have everything scheduled out so I will have everything I need to do before next week finished. This is so good because I have no time to do anything this weekend. I’ll be able to write an awesome final draft, study for my Stats test, finish my application essay, and have time to study for my three tests I have next week. The best part is there will time to spare.

Never ever get an MRI of your head or an MRI where they have to stick your head into the machine. The sound is unbearable.

Did I mention I love libraries? Libraries have two of my favorite things inside, quiet and books.

After weeks of bitching, nearly rolling back into parked cars, and many new oil spots on the driveway my car, Probie as I lovingly call it, finally went to be looked at by competent mechanics. The diagnosis: leaking oil from the oil filter and 3 other places which are yet to be determined, coolant leaking from the radiator, the transmission is trying to fall out and escape, the battery is trying to do the same as the transmission, the emergancy/ parking brake does not hold on the left side, something important with the brakes is rusted and thin, the muffler is missing something.

My poor old baby. I’m going to get it fixed instead of getting a new car. I don’t want a new one; I want my baby to get well.

I’m pulling out my hair just think of all the week I have to do for the next 2 months. I wish you would go away college.

Good news: My bestest friend in the whole world, Nadia, is in Richmond/ Chesterfield for spring training with her crew team. She goes to school in NYC and I haven’t seen her since winter break. Her mom is coming to get her on Friday so I am getting a ride back to Baltimore with them. I get to have Nadia time which is very much needed. Going to see emblamed, disected humans and animals at the Baltimore Science center on Saturday with the Anna’s and my mom. I’m listening to Warren Zevon.

Bad news: I have no car therefore no way to see Nadia before Friday. I’m probably going to throw up all over the exhibit.

I had to get food today with my mom. I’m really awesome at bagging groceries. The guy who was checking us out really sucked at bagging groceries. He should be fired. Use reuseable bags because they are steadier than paper/ plastic bags and they hold more than paper/ plastic bags. Plus, they are better for the enviroment. I’m a tree hugger.
